About Bay Middle School

Welcome to Bay Middle School! I am honored and humbled to serve as Principal of this dynamic school dedicated to the education of students in grades 5-8.

These middle school years are important ones, with unique challenges and opportunities for our students. I am continually impressed with how our dedicated faculty and staff, our devoted parents and our wonderful community work together to provide a caring network for our children.

Middle school students are growing intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. They can reach developmental milestones at different times, and changes can seem to happen overnight! Our teachers, administrators and support staff are focused on serving all of our students’ academic and emotional needs. We understand the developmental stages of this age group, and we recognize and make the most of these years for learning, for self-management and for making those important friendships.

Students -- I will be right beside you as you explore and achieve, which may include learning to catapult a pumpkin across a field, exploring the history of different countries through cuisine, or researching and creating a live “wax museum” of historical figures. You will no doubt also engage in athletic and academic competitions, or you may find art to be your special gift. You will serve your community in many ways, including the traditional Annual Rake Out to help our elderly residents.  You could be part of a swarm of bicycle riders each spring as you Bike to School to compete for prizes while saving gasoline and our environment. You may explore the outdoors as a classroom in the sixth grade, and you can see your history lessons come alive with a visit to our nation’s capital in the eighth.

Bay Middle School offers so many wonderful and exciting things, and I am excited to be on this special journey with you!
