BMS Daily Announcements

January 14, 2020


1. Any 8th grade girl interested in playing high school soccer next year please stop down and see Mrs. English in room 151 this week

2. This week Continental Math League meet #1 will take place in the library during support. 8th graders will meet on Wednesday, and all other grades will meet Thursday. If you want to participate, bring a calculator and a pencil to the library! CML is a great way to challenge yourself and to grow as a mathematician. It's fun, it's difficult, it's competitive! And BMS has big shoes to fill this year -  Good luck! 

3. Bowling Club is coming back! We will begin bowling club again on January 30th at Spevock's Nautical Lanes! If you like bowling or if you just want to hang out with your friends and eat pizza, we would love to have you in the bowling club. You can pick up forms in the main office, get them signed by a parent, and turn them into Miss Andrews in the main office with your money. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Grodek. 4. A reminder that ALL sweatshirt order forms are due by this Friday’s meeting. Remember that parents and grandparents can even order! Please see Mrs.Goldberg if you need an extra order form.

5. ATTENTION all BMS news club members. THERE will be NO MEETING after SCHOOL TODAY...See you THURSDAY - if you can make it.

4. This past weekend the Science Olympiad team went to Westlake High School where they competed against 1,200 students from around the area and even different states. Special shout out to Chloe Hoban, Connor Bush, Alice Jones, Violet Kubiak, Mirella Martin, and Chloe Shultz for working so hard and doing great in their events. The gold medal award goes to Mirella, Violet and Chloe S who placed third in "Picture This".

The Box Tops Winter Contest starts Monday, January 27th!  The home base, out of all grades, which brings in the most box tops by February 21st wins a Pizza Party in March!  Bring in your neatly cut BoxTops in an envelope or baggie, labeled with your home base teacher’s name.  Drop it off in the box tops container in the cafeteria.  Good luck!!
